68524_465253476007_691861007_6191430_1614426_nBorn and raised in Taiwan, Hsin-Mu Chen (a.k.a Morris) is currently a junior at William and Mary and double majoring in Women’s Studies and Psychology. Besides promoting Taiwanese and Chinese culture, Morris is also highly interested, and participates, in social activism and general discourse regarding LGBTIQ issues. Morris is also interested in history, flowers, shoes, drag, mythologies, fantasy novels, cooking, traveling, music, video games, babies, and anything else that makes excellent procrastination material. Morris is currently obsessed with a Chinese TV Show called 後宮甄環傳 that’s set in Qing Dynasty era, and sometimes likes to use 本宮 (Chinese equivalent of the royal “We” in English language) when referring to himself. With East Asian Culture Through Film, Morris hopes to analyze East Asian film and culture from an academic, and also Western, perspective. Morris is also ridiculously terrible with technology, and therefore must post the link to 後宮甄環傳 here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URd_inGbZL8
