John Lee is a senior at the College of William and Mary majoring in International Relations. He was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in East Lansing, Michigan. As a Korean he has always been interested in not only Korean History and Politics but also the cultures of fellow neighboring nations. He has been to both China and Japan and had a wonderful time especially in Shanghai two years ago. His latest adventure was traveling through Kenya and Tanzania last summer and hopes that he can go to South America in the near future. John extremely loves watching films regardless of where they come from. His latest Chinese movie was the Red Cliff which comes from one of his favorite books, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms. His favorite Korean movie is ‘Old Boy’. This is his second film class and hopes to learn more about how cinema can have a influence and reflect modern China and Japan.
